Generation Four (GEN4) Information and Ordering Instructions

GEN4 is AutumnTECH's latest major release software version. This version contains upgrades and improvements to the anti-spam, anti-virus, and phishing detection engines. In addition, upgrades have been made to the underlying operating system, e-mail service engine, and web server.

New features including the postgrey service have been added to improve detection of non legitimate e-mail senders. Overall the look and feel of GEN4 is very familiar, underneath boasts brand new features and upgrades which are proving to deliver our most stable version to date.

GEN4 is delivered in the form of an electronic download that you use to upgrade your existing GEN1, GEN2, or GEN3 appliance. Upgrades that target a GEN3 appliance include the ability to save and transfer most of the settings making the upgrade a simple procedure taking an hour or less (typically). GEN1 and GEN2 appliance owners will be able to save some settings including network information and e-mail filtered domains.

Once we've received your order, you will receive an authorization e-mail that will contain detailed instructions on the upgrade procedure and necessary steps to install the GEN4 release. Please allow one business day for this authorization e-mail to arrive.
